This past month has been very exciting for us here in Belize! We had a great turn out to the men's retreat, and we are seeing some changes in the men in the village! The food pantry has also started, we have had two successful weeks of the food pantry, working one week on the assistant pastors house, and working on Jason's (villager) new home! Tomorrow is the next adventure when it comes to the food pantry. We are working on the village road, which has some horrible pot holes in it. We originally started out with two trucks, and have been offered two more trucks to haul gravel. We are also planning on digging a line for a villagers house tomorrow! This last few days is going to be very busy for me with the food pantry, and i am planning on having a movie night for the kids the last wednesday before i leave. We are going to have popcorn and drinks for the kids too. I would appreciate prayers for a safe journey back home on November 20th, and for all to continue to go well in the village.

Food Pantry
This Monday will be the start of the Gales Point Manatee Food Pantry. Thanks to a few supporters, we have received funds to start a food pantry in the village. This food pantry will allow some of the families in the village to work one hour for 2 pounds of beans and 3 pounds of rice. Shown in the picture above is 150 pounds of food, 60 pounds of beans and 90 pounds of rice. This food will cover one day of the food pantry. There is enough funding already for 8 weeks of doing the food pantry. Depending on how well the food pantry goes, it may or may not continue after I am gone at the end of November.I would very much appreciate prayers for it to go very well, this could allow some growth between the church and some of the families who don't attend. One other thing that has been going on is the men's group is going very well, we have increased from about 10 guys to about 20-25 men. A few of the men having been growing very rapidly in their relationship with the Lord. I also had a great encounter with a giant fish yesterday. Mike, Trenton, Conway, and I were fishing during a storm and i got a giant fish on my hook, i fought it for about 30 minutes, my arm becoming very tired as it drug our boat about a mile from where we left our anchor and eventually it snapped my line. So one more very important prayer request would be that i catch that fish again.

Belize 9/20/2012
Recently we (the Kidder family and I) have been mainly doing maintenance work around the mission base, fixing the van, and going into the village to do church events, such as church, youth group, mens group. A couple saturdays ago we had the chance to take our youth group to a neighboring church and have a bonding time with them. Mike Kidder has been giving a powerful message to the kids in youth group about what it is to fully believe and trust in Jesus Christ and to devote your life to him. The church we work with in Gales Point Manatee is saving up money for a vehicle right now, so if anyone would like the chance to come alongside and support them, you can contact me. Having a running vehicle in Gales Point Manatee is very essential to life there, there are very few running vehicles in Gales Point Manatee, so whenever there is an emergency, you have to hope that they are there. If the church had a running vehicle, they would be able to help in emergency situations, and transport people to and from church. We are also having a difficulty finding a reliable vehicle to buy in country, so we could use prayers that we would be able to find a reliable vehicle that is going to last a long time and be fuel efficient. The Kidder family and I have been considering starting a food pantry in Gales Point Manatee. The villagers would be able to work one hour (mostly work around the church and community) for $5.90 BZE worth of food (2 lbs of beans, and 3 lbs of rice). This would allow the people who have a hard time finding work or food to be able to eat and survive without begging. We would appreciate prayers as to whether or not God wants us to continue with this plan or not. Also if you would like to support this, you can contact me also. The Kidder family is taking a vacation this upcoming week, so prayers of safe travels and total rest would be appreciated.
Blessings,
Caleb Wilson

This past couple of weeks have involved a lot of fixing vehicles, walking and visits to the mechanics. This past weekend i had to stay in Belize City because of the broken vehicles. The cross member on the drivers side rusted out and broke while we were driving. We had to walk about 8 miles to get back to the village and then spent a full day trying to get the van to Belize City to get repaired. Prayers for the van to keep working until we get a replacement would be very much appreciated. I have also been fightimg a pretty bad sore throat, but thanks to some prayers, im all better. I am having a lot of fun, and getting a lot of work done, even though most of the work is maintenance and daily chores. We are also praying for some rain to fill our cisterns.

Belize Missions - Michigan Team 8/4
This past week, a team from Michigan has been up doing missions work with us. The villagers, Calvary Baptist Church ( from Michigan), and Belize Missions and Retreat have all worked together to build a house for Millie(a villager), finish a playground set for the government school in the village, paint Nigel's (another villager)house, and hand out 105 backpacks to school children. A very successful week. I also have officially completed all the requirements to graduate high school, so we are waiting for my diploma. Yesterday was the Michigan's team excursion, so we tookthem to Caye Caulker, and we had fancy dinners and went snorkeling with sharks and sting rays. The teams flight leaves at 2:20, so we are saying good-bye right now. They would appreciate more prayers for a safe journey home. I would also appreciate prayers for the exhaustion.

Belize Mission - School Work
I am finishing up my first semester of English 12 as we speak! The hardest part of my journey to get to Belize is the online school work. But I have shown myself that it is possible, and I am going to accomplish it. I have all A's in my summer school classes too, and im excelling in both of them (Web Design, and Business). I actually taught my Web Design class today because we had a substitute teacher. I would still love prayers and support, prayers for my school work, and support in any way possible. I thank all of you for supporting me, and loving on me!

Caleb's Belize Mission Letter
Dear
Friends and Family,
This year I am going to serve as a
mission intern to the Latin American country of Belize after my early
graduation from Lee’s Summit West High School on July 15, 2012. I will be
staying and interning at the Belize Mission & Retreat Center just south of
Belize City. I will be led by veteran missionary Basil De Klerk and also
missionary Mike Chitter. The goal of the Belize Mission & Retreat Center is
to host church teams, mission building teams, medical teams and youth groups, who
come to serve the people of Belize. In addition they seize every opportunity
for evangelistic outreach, by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, within Belize
and Central America, while supporting and empowering local churches and
pastors.
During my stay there, I will be assisting
incoming mission’s teams with the task of serving the people of Belize through
evangelism, vacation bible schools, construction projects, and assisting with
medical teams. I will also be working alongside the natives, the fellow
missionaries and staff in hopes that it will give me an opportunity to grow
closer to the Lord. A typical work day will start around six in the morning and
last until four in the afternoon. Of course, I will be flexible and available
for all the typical changes in schedule on a mission field.
I will be leaving August 1, 2012 and
return May 12, 2013. I may be returning for the holidays to see my family
around the end of November towards the end of December. This opportunity was an
unexpected surprise. I know it will challenge me in various ways and deepen my
relationship with the Lord. The cost of this nine month mission internship with
airfare is $7450. If you would partner
with me financially, I would greatly appreciate it. I am receiving donations for monthly support
for the duration of my stay as well as one time donations. My hope is to raise $800 a month for the
duration of my stay along with one time gifts.
Thank you ahead of time for considering supporting me, for those who
will support me and all those who are praying for me as I step out in this
mission with God.
Thank
you again,
Caleb
Wilson
