Belize 9/20/2012
Recently we (the Kidder family and I) have been mainly doing maintenance work around the mission base, fixing the van, and going into the village to do church events, such as church, youth group, mens group. A couple saturdays ago we had the chance to take our youth group to a neighboring church and have a bonding time with them. Mike Kidder has been giving a powerful message to the kids in youth group about what it is to fully believe and trust in Jesus Christ and to devote your life to him. The church we work with in Gales Point Manatee is saving up money for a vehicle right now, so if anyone would like the chance to come alongside and support them, you can contact me. Having a running vehicle in Gales Point Manatee is very essential to life there, there are very few running vehicles in Gales Point Manatee, so whenever there is an emergency, you have to hope that they are there. If the church had a running vehicle, they would be able to help in emergency situations, and transport people to and from church. We are also having a difficulty finding a reliable vehicle to buy in country, so we could use prayers that we would be able to find a reliable vehicle that is going to last a long time and be fuel efficient. The Kidder family and I have been considering starting a food pantry in Gales Point Manatee. The villagers would be able to work one hour (mostly work around the church and community) for $5.90 BZE worth of food (2 lbs of beans, and 3 lbs of rice). This would allow the people who have a hard time finding work or food to be able to eat and survive without begging. We would appreciate prayers as to whether or not God wants us to continue with this plan or not. Also if you would like to support this, you can contact me also. The Kidder family is taking a vacation this upcoming week, so prayers of safe travels and total rest would be appreciated.
Blessings,
Caleb Wilson
