This past month has been very exciting for us here in Belize! We had a great turn out to the men's retreat, and we are seeing some changes in the men in the village! The food pantry has also started, we have had two successful weeks of the food pantry, working one week on the assistant pastors house, and working on Jason's (villager) new home! Tomorrow is the next adventure when it comes to the food pantry. We are working on the village road, which has some horrible pot holes in it. We originally started out with two trucks, and have been offered two more trucks to haul gravel. We are also planning on digging a line for a villagers house tomorrow! This last few days is going to be very busy for me with the food pantry, and i am planning on having a movie night for the kids the last wednesday before i leave. We are going to have popcorn and drinks for the kids too. I would appreciate prayers for a safe journey back home on November 20th, and for all to continue to go well in the village.

Food Pantry

This Monday will be the start of the Gales Point Manatee Food Pantry. Thanks to a few supporters, we have received funds to start a food pantry in the village. This food pantry will allow some of the families in the village to work one hour for 2 pounds of beans and 3 pounds of rice. Shown in the picture above is 150 pounds of food, 60 pounds of beans and 90 pounds of rice. This food will cover one day of the food pantry. There is enough funding already for 8 weeks of doing the food pantry. Depending on how well the food pantry goes, it may or may not continue after I am gone at the end of November.I would very much appreciate prayers for it to go very well, this could allow some growth between the church and some of the families who don't attend. One other thing that has been going on is the men's group is going very well, we have increased from about 10 guys to about 20-25 men. A few of the men having been growing very rapidly in their relationship with the Lord. I also had a great encounter with a giant fish yesterday. Mike, Trenton, Conway, and I were fishing during a storm and i got a giant fish on my hook, i fought it for about 30 minutes, my arm becoming very tired as it drug our boat about a mile from where we left our anchor and eventually it snapped my line. So one more very important prayer request would be that i catch that fish again.
